In my last two posts, I have mentioned Noah and his Ear infections. As much as I wish things were better, they are not. We have had an interesting week. He was on his fourth round of antibiotics for his ear infection in his right ear. Monday morning he started running a fever of 102.7. I tried everything I could think of but couldn't get his fever to go down. I took him in on Tuesday and not only had his ear infection in his right ear gotten worse, but he had also developed one in his left ear. They decided that they would try giving him a series of shots, of a very strong antibiotic called Rocephin. So he had one shot in each leg on Tuesday, and then we went back in and he got another shot in each leg yesterday. And we were suppose to go in for the third and final round of shots tomorrow, but....he has had an allergic reaction and is now covered in a rash! This poor baby can't get a break! I feel so bad for him and there is nothing I can do. He won't eat, or sleep, and moans in pain most of the time. At the appointment tomorrow we are going to talk about the possibility of him getting tubes in his ears. As much as I don't want him to have surgery, I really want him well, and I am starting to think that might be the only way. I had to have tubes when I was a baby too. I guess it must just be my bad genes because he has none of the other risk factors for ear infections. And yes...he is breastfed, which is suppose to help.

On a lighter note, Brynlee is so excited for her birthday in a couple weeks. On her guest list; her Grandma's and Grandpa's and cousins, and all her friends. I wish this was a possibility, and I am still trying to explain to her that it isn't going to happen, because all her cousins and Grandparents live too far away. Hopefully we will be able to do something with some of her friends. I can't believe that she is already three! she has been such a wonderful little girl, and I love her so much! She is so caring and so concerned for other people, especially her sick little brother.

Ash--
Sick babies are the WORST!!! I am sorry and I hope you get things figured out! Good Luck! Keep us updated!
That is so sad. Ear infections are terrible. I hope Noah gets better soon!
Sorry to hear about Noah, that is no fun. And to have an allergic reaction to meds- even scarrier. I hope you can get it figured out and get him well. Brynlee is so cute and hope she has a great birthday.
