Storm Lake
The lady at the Hotel, said our kids were the cutest she had ever seen, and gave them each a beach ball.
Lazy River
Noah loved these water slides
Our Easter WreathsWe were lucky that Jon had a couple days off in between two rotations, so we took the chance to enjoy our family, and headed out of town. We went to a little place called Storm Lake, Iowa. It is about three hours away from Des Moines. They have a water park resort there, and every year they do a spring break special. It was ton's of fun, and the kids had a blast. The water was a little cold for Noah but he still loved it too. His favorite thing was the lazy river. He even fell asleep on a tube with me and took a pretty good nap. He also really liked the little spray park. Brynlee was big enough to go down one of the big slides by herself, and she was so excited. She enjoyed learning how to swim, and would even try it on her own, with a life jacket of course. Jon is now in his surgery rotation, so we are glad that he had some time to spend with us before this rotations started.
The kids are growing so fast! Noah is starting to talk a lot. He says quite a few words, and starting to say phrases. Brynlee is a character and says some pretty funny stuff. The other day we were eating dinner and she looked at me and said, "Mom, this dinner is stinking AWESOME!" I just had to laugh. Her dad says that phrase occasionally. Brynlee is also old enough that she needs to be entertained or she is 'bored'. We do a lot of projects, and she helps cook all the time. Our latest, was our Easter wreaths we made. The weather this year has made us all stir crazy, so even though it is only in the 40's and 50's, we went to the Zoo. The kids loved it! We are so excited for Summer!
