He's a 2!

(On the Helipad at Grant Medical Center)

Jon is officially NOT an intern anymore!  As of today, he is now a 2nd year resident.  (AKA a 2)  I look back on that year, and wonder how in the world we did it! It was pretty tough, and I am so glad it is over.  We hear that 2nd year is equally as hard, with the exception of having more weekends off.  At least there is something to look forward to.  I am so proud of him, and the hard work he has put it.  He continues to amaze me with his perserverance and dedication.  Even on bad days he is so optimistic.  He is starting this year off with two months straight of nights. Yuck!  At least we are getting some of the worst over with first. There are a couple good things about nights.  We get to eat dinner together before he goes in, which we normally never get to eat together, and I tend to study more when he isn't here.  Yes, I am still plugging along in school.  It has been tough, but this semester is half over already.  Next semester will probably be even harder.

Brynlee and Noah are starting swimming lessons next week,  and they are both so excited.  It has been an interesting summer.  It has been really hot, so we have had to find things to do inside to keep ourselves entertained.  We have had several bad storms, and it makes me worry about what is to come.

Hazel is getting so big!  She is always in trouble.  Usually climbing on something, or getting into something else.  She keeps me on my toes.

Things have been going pretty good for us lately.  We are all doing well.  I feel so blessed to have a home, my family, and my freedom.  Thanks to all those who serve our country and all the sacrifices that you have made.

That's so awesome that he's done with his first year! You guys must be so excited. That much closer to being done. Keep it up with your school, I'm sure it's tough with your kids and hubby being gone a lot.
